Sylvia Allen, President of Allen Consulting in Holmdel, NJ (and founder of Sylvia’s Children, a 501(c)3 serving children in Uganda) has won the Corporate Livewire Innovation and Excellence Award for Sales Consultancy Professional of the Year. The Innovation Awards identified the pioneers, groundbreakers, trailblazers and out-of-the-box thinkers from the corporate world. Each of the award-winners has changed the world in some way, both in large and small quantities, by creating new technologies, setting new trends and evolving industry standards over the past 12 months.

A total of  23,182 nominations were received by the awards team at Corporate LiveWire from 32 countries around the world. Winners were chosen for industry recognition, innovative use of technology, marketing and branding, service excellence and ethical practice.

The judges commended Sylvia, not only for the knowledge that she has accumulated over a long and illustrious career, but also for the wide range of domains that she has applied her expertise to. Though she offers services to regular organizations, Sylvia has purposely directed her efforts towards non-profits, often with a focus on women and minority groups. However, her skills and social consciousness truly shine through in the incredible Sylvia’s Children; a charity effort that she intends to repeat throughout Africa. Judge Andrew Walsh commented: “Sylvia Allen utilizes her extensive knowledge of both PR and marketing to make a real and significant difference.”

Awards Judge, Tom Avon, commented: “It was a difficult task for our judges to pick the winners with fierce competition in this year’s award. I have seen individuals and company’s grow further and really make a difference in their sector. We look forward to seeing how our winners will continue to demonstrate their commitment in the future.”

In addition to the awards, the guide highlights the rapid emergence of big data and mobile applications that has transformed a multitude of industries from student accommodation providers to project management in the construction sector, and the increased focus on the need to offer more sustainable products and services.
