Holmdel, NJ – the International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA), the premiere associations supporting and enabling festival and event professionals worldwide, is pleased to announce the addition of Sylvia Allen, CFEE, as the organizations new Director of Partnership Marketing.

Allen, an icon in the global festivals and events industry and one of the worlds leading experts on sponsorship, is best known for her seminars, best selling books and well known on-line newsletter Hometown New Online. She has successfully led one of the top marketing organizations in the United States for 30 years, specializing in the field of sports and special events. Throughout her expansive career Allen has also held communications positions with Fortune 500 companies McGraw-Hill and AT&T; developed marketing, public relations, advertising and sponsorship programs for a diverse corporate, sport, and association client group; taught at New York Universitys Management Institute; and delivered hundreds of training seminars around the world.

In 2005, Allen was inducted into the IFEA Hall of Fame, the highest honor in our industry, adding to scores of other industry awards received throughout her career. She has served on multiple industry boards and currently serves as the President of Sylvias Children, Inc., a not-for-profit organization benefiting the children of Africa.
