Music to my ears! And, many of you made it possible for us to start serving lunch to all 1,000 children every day of the complete term (late January to mid-May).
We were devastated in November when we found out that at least 50% of the students did not have anything for lunch! (The parents are poor and determined to give their children a decent education but have no money for food after the tuition is paid!). As a result, every child now gets a hot lunch every day plus two hard-boiled eggs a week. The cost of this endeavor is $30,000 and this term is paid for; however, we need your help for the second term which starts mid-May.
Any amount you can donate would be gratefully received … the fact that these children go for 9-10 hours (from breakfast to dinner) with nothing to eat makes me cry.
