Back by much demand and fanfare next year will be the Sunrise Optimist Club of Freeholds annual Soup-er Bowl Sunday, a fundraiser that celebrates Americas most popular sports event, while raising money to benefit the community.
This years Soup-er Bowl event, sponsored by CentraState Healthcare System, will run from 1 to 4 p.m. on February 3, 2019, at the Freehold YMCA, located at 470 East Freehold Road.
For a donation of $6.00 per quart, or four quarts for $20, attendees can purchase delicious homemade chilis and soups.
Funds raised go to benefit youth activities in the community, including the Oratorical Contest, Camp Quality, scholarships and more.
The Sunrise Optimist Club of Freehold is a community service organization, which is dedicated to serving, aiding and encouraging community youth.
The club is part of Optimist International, a worldwide volunteer organization made up of more than 2,500 local clubs whose members work each day to make the future brighter by bringing out the best in children, in their communities, and in themselves.
