HOLMDEL, N. J. Sylvia Allen and her work at home and abroad will be featured this Sunday and next on two popular news specials on ABCs KSTP TV in Minnesotas Twin Cities.
On July 15, as part of its 10:35 p.m. CT nightly news segment, ABC 5 will be airing a story about the Butler Project in Aitkin, MN., during a featured special, “On The Road“ with Jason Davis. In May, Davis traveled to Aitkin to interview Allen exclusively and capture footage of the progress quickly being made on the historic Butler Building.
The story will be repeated on the same network between 11 a.m. and 12 Noon CT the following day, Mon, July 16, and will also be available for viewing shortly after on www.kstp.com/otr.
In a separate news broadcast on the network set to air the following Sunday, July 22, Allen and her nonprofit Sylvias Children will be highlighted during the award-winning ABC 5 News special, Hope for the Cities.
In June, Davis was in Uganda at the same time as Sylvias Children, and used the serendipitous opportunity to interview Allen about all of what her charity has accomplished over the last nine years in the Ugandan village of Masaka and for the 1,000 children at the Mbriizii Advanced Primary and Day Care School.
