Inducts Sylvia Allen into IFEA/Miller Brewing Company Hall of Fame
Boise, ID -The IFEA inducted Sylvia Allen into its prestigious IFEA/Miller Brewing Company Hall of Fame at the association’s 50th Anniversary Reunion Convention & Expo, presented by Kolor View, in San Antonio, Texas, September 12-16, 2005.
Sylvia Allen, CFEE, President of Allen Consulting was inducted at the IFEA/Miller Brewing Company Hall of Fame Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, September 14th 2005. She joined the ranks of 39 others inducted into the hall over the past 13 years. Inductees are recognized as outstanding individuals who, through their exceptional work and achievements, have made a significant contribution to the festivals and events industry. Induction into the Hall of Fame is considered the highest of industry honors.
Sylvia Allen, CFEE, made her entrance into the special events industry more than 26 years ago, when she founded what is today one of the country’s top marketing organizations in the field of sports and special events  New Jersey based Allen Consulting. Prior to that, Allen held communications positions with Fortune 500 companies, including McGraw-Hill and AT & T.
Allen has written and delivered over 500 seminars on marketing and sponsorship throughout the world, and her presentation skills and knowledge base have made her a regular favorite at IFEA conventions and seminars. Beyond speaking, Allen is an accomplished author and contributing writer of several published industry works including “How To Be Successful at Sponsorship Sales” and, her most recent, “A Woman’s Guide to Sales Success”.
She also enjoys the role of teacher, and is in her 20th year as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Marketing and Program Advisor for New York University’s Management Institute.
Allen has held a variety of board positions both locally and nationally and is a proud co-founder of Women in Sports and Events (WISE). She currently sits on the IFEA President’s Council and is a member of the IFEA Foundation Leadership Alliance.
