Cuisine On The Green Event

Wine festivals are sprouting up all over the Garden State, due to their incredible popularity these past few years, especially some of the most popular throughout the state, the Jersey Shore and Waretown Wine Festivals.

The organizers of those two have now announced the launch of a new one for the state and South Jersey, the Cuisine on the Green Wine Festival, which will take place on Saturday, June 2 and Sunday, June 3.

The two-day wine festival will feature samplings of dozens of varieties of wine from a selection of award-winning New Jersey wineries.

Attendees can enjoy live musical entertainment from local musicians, as well as peruse booths by crafters and retail vendors. There will also be an assortment of food available for purchase.

The cost to attend is $15 in advance or $20 at the gate for those over 21. A two-day ticket will also be available for $20 in advance, $25 at the gate.

A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the programs of the Ocean County Foundation for Vocational and Technical Excellence.

DiMatteo Winery, will bring their Cranberry and Crantasia fruit wines, and various white and red wines, including their Pasquale red and feature their Blackeye.

Monroeville Vineyard & Winery LLC will offer up their dry white Bella, their Richwood blend, their Stillwater white, and sangria. The featured wine is their semi-sweet Blackberry wine.

Valenzano Winery based in Shamong in Burlington County, will bring along their special Blackberry Syrah, Peach Pinot Grigio, Cherish Chocolate, Jersey Devil Port, and a Sangiovene, among many others, and will highlight their favorite White Sangria.

Villari Vineyards, a fourth generation family farm in South Jersey, will offer a dry chardonnay, a dry rose and cabernet sauvignon, a semi-sweet moscato, and will be highlighting their special Albarino.

Wagonhouse Winery, of Gloucester County, will feature their Three Boys’ Brand wines, such as Fallen Quaker, Daisy-Grace, Ornery Apple, and myriad reds and whites. They will be highlighting their Three Boys Brand’s Shore Thing at the festival.


As part of the Walking Edibles menu, there will be three different items prepared for patrons of the festival, including locally sourced artisan cheeses and cured meats, fresh seasoned fruit cups and organic salads.

There will also be some delicious grilled selections as part of A Time for Grilling, including grilled smoked kielbasa sausage, cheddar cheese bratwurst, and wood fired flatbreads.

Make way for the tacos with One Taco Two Taco, offering fresh made salsa and chips, fresh mahi mahi tacos, and pork carnitas tacos, not to be missed!

In addition to the mahi mahi tacos, as part of the Festival’s Fruits of the Sea menu, Cuisine on the Green will feature some mouthwatering seared ahi tuna with seaweed salad, shrimp ceviche with mango, and viking village seared scallops.

And what’s a savory menu without something to delight one’s sweet tooth? Sweet Temptations will close out the full menu with house made fresh ice cream sandwiches. dessert bars and fresh baked goods.
