Gift Auction Release

Freehold, NJ – The Freehold Sunrise Optimist Club will hold their 6th annual Gift

Auction on November 21, 2008 at the Forsgate Country Club, Monroe. The annual event

is a major source of funding for the many youth-related programs supported by the

Optimist club. This year, the Freehold Optimists will be honoring David M. Salkin, co-

owner of Salkin’s Jewel Case and Master Graduate Gemologist. Salkin, who is currently

serving as Deputy Mayor of Freehold Township, has been a Township Committeeman

since 1994, was past Mayor twice, Deputy Mayor four times and Police Commissioner.

He’s the author of two novels and is a charter member of the Sunrise Optimist Club…

Tickets for the gift auction are $45 each and include dinner, live musical entertainment

and wonderful gifts.
