The Holmdel Historical Society (HHS), which recently announced a full revitalization as an organization, has announced its first meeting in the new year.

Following a highly successful kickoff meeting and pot-luck dinner in December, the Holmdel Historical Society, which researches, preserves and interprets the history and architectural history of Holmdel, one of the oldest sites of European settlement in New Jersey, will host its first meeting of 2017 on January 10.

The January 2017 meeting will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Holmdel Community Center located at 4 Crawfords Corner Road.

During the monthly meeting, the organization will discuss what has been happening since the re-launch of the organization, as well as discuss membership and give an introduction to the website.

The organizations first order of business since its re-launch is to restore the old St. Catharines Church on Stillwell Road.

To join the organization as a member, annual dues for the HHS are $25 and can be paid at the January 10th meeting or by calling Manieri or Treasurer Rhonda Beck at 732-768-7583 or 732-685-4450, or by email at holmdelhistoricalsociety@gmail.com.
